Kacala winterparty. Hi-res photos from Winter Party Festival are available to download here. The Festival has evolved into a week-long series of events, taking place on Miami Beach and benefiting the LGBTQ community, both locally and nationally. This year, the Winter Party Festival featured dozens of events, from cocktail parties, to stage shows, to health advocacy programs — drawing more than 10, attendees over six days. We are truly grateful for another successful, and fun, Winter Party Festival.

LGBT groups in Miami
Synagogues in South Florida have been celebrating the triumphs and remembering the struggles of the LGBTQIA lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex and asexual or allied community this month through different events, including a seder and Shabbat services. The seder included a haggadah modeled after a Passover one, candle-lighting, prayers and musical performances. Leslie Cohen and Beth Suskin, a couple who posed for a sculpture at the Stonewall Inn in New York, were special guest speakers at the seder. Seder co-hosts and married couple Mark Nedlin and Marc Lamb were impressed with both the turnout and ambiance in the room. We had great talent here and I really love the fact that we involved our Pridelines [an organization in Miami] kids and included the readings of quotes from famous people that said horrible things [about LGBTQIA] in the past because unfortunately that was the mainstream idea.
