The main links are over on the left hand side where Kai and Nadia have put up their photo albums for you to view, along with a few other handy links to friends and interesting sites.
Kai had a blog happening for a while that's not being updated with any degree of regularity any more. The blog is being kept online as there's some handy technical information there, and a bit of history in the links and stories.
The photo albums are hosted by Picasa Web Albums – a service provided by Google and is a great way to get photo albums up on the web. If you're using Windows, you can use Picasa as a way of managing all your digital photos, and it features one-click uploading to your Picasa Web Album. Picasa is the closest thing to iPhoto that exists for Windows. What's more is it's all free. Picasa even has a free plugin for the Mac that drops into iPhoto to provide a quick and easy way to export from iPhoto directly into Picasa Web, as well as a standalone application to upload photos quickly and easily.
Kai is now using Aperture for his digital photography - there's a commercial plugin from Übermind that uploads photos directly from Aperture, but he hasn't tried it out yet.
Kai is shooting with a Canon EOS 40D at the moment, which is a great camera. He upgraded from a second-hand 10D in June 2008 and hasn't looked back. It's currently got a nice L-series 24-105mm zoom on it which is a really nice lens. It's not the fastest zoom at ƒ/4 but it has Image Stabilisation so is great for most things, except shooting handheld in low-light situations. He's also got a "nifty fifty" which is Canon's cheap-and-cheerful 50mm ƒ/1.8 lens. It's cheap, fast and sharp and it weighs practically nothing. What's not to like about any of that.
Lynden's Proofreading is Kai's Dad's site he's using to run his freelance proofreading business. If you need something more than a spell chequer for text, he's your man!
Steelbytes is Louis' site - Kai's longtime friend, computer programmer extraordinaire and one-time provider of hosting for this site. He doesn't code for the Mac (yet) but other than that, his work is top-knotch.
Technocrat is a technically-focussed news and discussion forum. Kai occasionally writes articles for them, participates in the discussion forums and assisted with the 2008 redesign of the site. To see his work, you'll need to create a user account and then choose his stylesheet as the default from your user preferences.
Genius Printing is the place to go for high-quality canvas artwork and poster printing. Kai's had a number of pictures printed there and they've all come out looking really good. The prices are fantastic, the service is good and the results speak for themselves.
Western Scaffold is owned by Chris and Rebecca. Kai did their new website, trying to keep it looking clean and simple.
